Setting a Home Page

The first page that comes up in the WebCD Viewer application when a user views your WebCD is the WebCD Home Page. In creating a CD for your customers, set the Home Page to the page that you want them to see first. Though any type of file can be included on the WebCD, the Home Page must be an HTML file. There are two ways to set the home page:

Options

1 Choose Options from the Build pull-down menu. You will be placed into the Build Options dialog.
2 Under Appearance, you will see the Home Page text box. Type in the URL for your desired Home Page. The URL you enter must include the protocol and a host name.
3 Click OK to save your settings.
4 Now, if you have not already done so, you will need to add the Home Page to the Retrieval View.

Shortcut Menu

1 If the URL for your desired Home Page is in the Retrieval View, right-click the URL to display the shortcut menu.
2 Select the Set as Home Page option.
Note This option is only available for document URLs.

Note The Home Page must be set and retrieved prior to building your Web CD.
